Adventures at the lake!

We spent the labor day weekend and the weekend before at Grammy and Pappy's lake cabin and R-Man had a blast!  They haven't put their boat in the water for two years, so this was the first time he really remembers boating and he adores it!  He "helped" Grammy drive and thought it was just about the coolest thing ever!

He thought the noodles were really fun to swim with and he went all the way around the boat!
He especially had fun swimming around with mama and splashing me, of course!

He got to blow bubbles with Grammy which was lots of fun too!

We pulled the boat up to a beach for a while to have lunch and play, and R-Man really loved building sand castles and finding rocks!

This was his rock family- one for each of us!

The rest of the weekend me mostly spent just chillin' at the cabin and playing with Lincoln Logs!

Recent Ramblings...

Lately R-Man has had some very cute things to say that I just have to blog about or I know I will forget!

One night I was oh so tired but I really needed to go grab Lion Cub from my husband and nurse him.  I was snuggling in our recliner with R-man and the time and with my eyes shut and half in a daize I said, "Hey buddy, can you go nurse Lion Cub for me?"
To which he responded, "Sorry mommy, I don't have any milk in my nurses!"

So funny!

Then the other night I got horribly sick after dinner and I was laying on the couch.  R-man came over, rubbed my belly and said, "I feel your tummy better mama (his way of saying 'I'll make your tummy feel better').  I wish I was a doctor!"

Me too buddy!  In fact, how 'bout you just plan on that?!  haha!  No, really.

Okay, and last of all, I was cuddling both boys in bed the other day, putting them down for the night, and R-Man had his arm around me, resting on my stomach.  He started rubbing it and said, "I just want you to have another baby mama, cause I like all the babies!  I want 2,3,4,5,6 babies, cause I just like all the babies!  I love you mommy!  AND I like you, and I like my Lion Cub!"

So there are the musings of my sweet boy!  He has the cutest phrases and sayings- he always leaves me laughing and eager to hear what he will come up with next!

Which reminds me... he wants a sbament (cement) truck for Christmas!  Gotta love those mixed-up words!

Fun at the Orchard!

A couple of weekends ago we went up to a local orchard for a friend's birthday party and R-Man had so much fun! He got to ride on a pony named Daisy...

(he kept telling them he wanted to go faster, and faster, and faster! Go figure)

...in a wiggle wagon around the orchard....(This is his goofy "smile for the camera" grin!)

...and play in the "Pea Pit" (instead of sand they had peas! It was great!)!

(Swimmin' in the peas! We found many peas in these clothes when they were washed!)

He enjoyed some scrumptious corn on the cob but wasn't too keen on the peach pie- silly kid! That's okay- mama took care of that for him :-) !

Best of all, we got to spend quality time together as a family- it isn't often these days that daddy isn't working (in the field or his office), so it was a rare treat to have the whole day together out enjoying ourselves!
